Our first contact physiotherapists help patients with musculoskeletal problems (joints, bones and muscles). They are the first point of contact at the surgery for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with musculoskeletal problems with the expertise to order appropriate tests and investigations if required.
Patients can refer themselves to first contact physiotherapists. They do not need a referral from their GP. This helps patients get treatment more quickly.
